technology to reach the objectives.
TDMoIP* also called - circuit emulation services over packets - take place
in this move allowing Ethernet use to build links using traditionally SONET/ATM
technology.
In compensation for expected gains, due to the fact that Ethernet networks
have no synchronization, some unexpected link failures can impact on quality
of communications.
Novelty introduced by Quadrillium products
help to compensate failure links, it is called RTSoE
" Real Time Streams over Ethernet".
This concept allows the transport of native synchronous streams by means of L2 & L3 Ethernet
(OSI layer). Clock signal coming from master source interface (E1/T1, X21,...) is
sent to remote site, source clock variations are fully transmitted and restore
to remote.
This special feature (Quadrillium patent)
improve the quality of services (QoS) needed by applications using synchronous
interfaces (E1/T1, X21,...) and remain economically very attractive against
solutions based on PDH/Sonet and ATM.
Because networks are sometimes routed and sometimes switched, Quadrillium
equipments include TDMoIP or TDMoVLAN algorithms to always keep the best of the
technology in use.
